I bought seasons today and I must admit it is amazing! I love everthing about it and I have yet to even experience winter or spring!!!
Weather is something I've been longing for ever since I got Sims 1. Took a long time before I got my wish though :winks:
The other day I was playing, and the sims were getting heavy rain as well as lightning. The funny thing was I was getting the same. I didn't know if it was the game or outside. Then when it started snowing in the game. I started to feel the cold from the storm. I couldn't wait for spring. regards moon
Heh, the weather is just awesome in the game! Today in Seasons, one family had a thunderstorm with several bouts of lightning that lasted almost 2 sim days without a break! There were dozens of puddles all over the lot and the lightning struck the same tree at least 4 times causing it to burst into flames. The sounds and colours in Seasons just makes you imagine it's in real life too. It was an EP well worth waiting for.
Yikes! Help! I got a weather machine, zerr cool, but now it seems that machine weather is the only weather I can get. I had it switched to clear skies in summer; now it's winter and still clear skies, no hail or snow or even rain. So finally I had someone switch it to snow and now I can't turn it off, because they all have the flu and no one is in gold aspiration. Snow is piling up and I'm desperately making Ananda get his 8th charisma point even though he REALLY DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT so he can feel happy long enough to turn off the storm! Wow, this is like a bad novel, whoops! I long to return to natural seasons but how can I do that? NEVER FOOL WITH MOTHER NATURE!!!
gah, i jst got seasons today.. WHAT?!?! penguins??? i still havent done anything yet... :] i'll just install it today, and maybe play tomorrow...
Sayaka, learn from our mistakes, learn from your elders.... I finally got one of the adults enough into the gold to operate the weather machine and turn it off and the whole big family went outside to build snowmen and make snow angels and have a real good time and then the two kids started freezing because I just forgot, I'm so sorry Social Worker, please don't take my kids away, please please, but she did and so I couldn't save and now I have to start over trying to turn off the snow. What happens if you operate the weather machine and you're not in the Gold? I mean, really, WHAT COULD GO WRONG????
I don't know. I didn't even think about that, and had all sorts of people operating the machine. I called up two blizzards with no problem. Then everyone went indoors to eat lunch and it started snowing again. I thought I'd left the machine turned on, but nope. This time it was a regular, unplanned winter snowstorm. Unplanned, I know, because my sim read the newspaper weather report and it called for dry, warm weather. Then it started snowing. While it was still snowing I saved and exited to the neighborhood screen. And the snowflakes was falling there, too!!! Wow!!!
I only just bought this new expansion and I spent most of the hour or so I had to play it last night trying to get the resolution fixed (thank the gods for the patch!). Anyway, you're all making me so excited to play it today. I can't wait until I get some time. I think I'll be up very, very late tonight. Hehehehe! Cass.
