When you Download Lots When you download lots from any fansite or the official exchange, do you look at what the house looks like? Do you consider the details, like how many bathrooms, bedrooms? How much it costs?
I look at its cost, how big it is and whether its comfortably livable. I hate small cramped rooms and I prefer houses with no more than 2 floors. It's always worth a look if there's some sort of garden too.
TSR and TS2.com mainly. Too many sites only have modern houses and I like to have a variety. I'm a country girl.
i allways look at the gardens , i like houses with beutifull and huge gardens that is very important to me,... and i also like crepy houses castles i like houses with many bathrooms, and big kitchens too...
I always consider the floorplan before anything else. If it's small and cramped, or excessively spacious (even after you imagine furniture in there), I won't download. For me, above all else, the floorplan is the most important as I prefer to keep the camera view in one direction without the need to swivel round to see around the stairs or whatever is in the way, and I prefer one floor only. Overall, I would consider layout/floorplan, garden (not too heavy with custom stuff but some nice features), numbers of bedrooms and bathrooms, and lastly, price.
I look for homes I couldn't make myself. I have a couple that are quite unique. But I'm always careful to pick the ones that have been stripped of hacks first. I dislike the overly narrow homes Maxis tends to include with the game. I agree that enough space, but not too much, is important. Nice gardens are good, or at least room to build one. I like lots of windows, in general. And while I'm an old fashioned girl at heart I tend to download modern homes more often than any other type. I guess because I know how to make a fairly decent traditional one.
