Socializing glitch? Hi, I've been playing sims 2 for a few months and I've never really experienced any problems or glitches except for slowdown/lags or if a sim in the business field comes home in a helicopter and brings a friend ... the friend is invisible but that doesnt bother me. The real problem is that for he past few days my sims are simply unable to socialize "indirectly" or through the phone. For instance, if one of my sims sits on the couch and watches TV, then another one comes and sits, they stay that way for a few second then the game freezes, then goes back to normal but now the sims have jumped up off the couch and are about 3-4 spaces away from each other. It happens for everything, TV, couch, sometimes even relaxing on the bed. Any type of indirect socializing. And my sims cannot talk to some of the other sims in the neighborhood on the phone either. It started when one day my sim got fired from the athletic career [he was living by himself] and then i went to get him to call his friends & raise up his social bar and i had him call everyone [6 people] and at first there was only 5 people on this list, then the second time he picked up, there were three, them two then one then NO ONE. I was completely confused but got him to do something else and suddenly the game started to lag badly. A few minutes later the game froze then when it continued all the sims [6 people] were standing in his house, talking on phones. It was really weird, and as soon as I got my sim to tell them to leave or talk to them, they wuld freeze and my sim would freeze. I deleted all of them but one off the lot to see what wuld happen, and the last one disappeared and afterwards I couldn't talk to only THAT sim on the phone, but i could invite them over. Any ideas?
It does indeed. *nods solemnly* It happened to me too a while back - really annoying. The patch should sort it out
