where do you get heat lamps? All I see under the gardening icon are the lights.

Do you have sprinklers in your greenhouse? If one of them is broken that will plumet the environment score faster than you can blink. Check to see if one is constantly leaking water, it's probably your culprit.

I get really tired of my sims having to tend to and spray the plants as well. I think maybe Maxis didnt notice how terribly unrealistic it is to have a sim need to tend to a plant 4 times a day or else it dies.

Thanks for the tips. :) I have working sprinklers in my greenhouse (although the repairman has had to come out several times to fix sprinklers around the lot), but she still hates it. I was thinking about moving her to a bigger lot where she could have a supersized greenhouse so I could add more flowers and decorative things in it. But since she doesn't spend much time in there it doesn't really matter I guess.

Simgurl...My sims don't tend their garden several times a day, sometimes they won't do it for a day or two. As everyone else here has taught me...greenhouses, fertilizer and sprinklers are needed for a relatively easy to care for garden. :) Oh and Odin's right....100% no bugs. :D:D:D Yay!

And I finally got my wishing well. ;) Now my sim is married to the Garden Club guy and they're having their first child. Does anyone know if the wishing well is the biggest thing you can get from the Garden Club?

Cool! Which one? The only ones that visited me were two old ladies and an elderly gentleman. What kind of skills and personality does he have? (That is, is he a good gardener!??! I could use one of those.)

I finally hired a regular gardener over the phone, and she comes and takes care of the weeds while my sim does all the tending and talking to...

He's the old guy who turns up when you call the club (don't know if it's the same sim for everyone though ). I can't remember what his skill levels are (haven't played him for a while), but he's an expert gardener. :D Very handy to have, when you've given your sim a large garden to look after.
I'm interested to know who will replace him now. :)

Ther are younger males anfd females, that come to inspect the garden.
While they are there inspecting, Pause the game and get their name. Then ring them up and chat them up. lol By the way I lost my last family couse of a computer error which was my fault. S I had to start all over again. This time I had to cheat. I used motherlode and built a new garden. I got the wishing well day 2.lol
    regards moon.:D

hmm.... my membership was REALLY easy to get.
i just had a pretty big garden, placed some ponds, gnimes, and other decorations aaround it, and made sure that there were some ladybug house(although they dont help much) and to be sure that the sprinklers covered EVERY INCH of the garden.

than they got mad at me for not joining sooner...
and gave me a well that i dont even know how to work..

    :]

Odin, shame on you! You should know what the wishes are since you seem to be getting the well so quickly and effortlessly. The last wish is love. I know and I haven't even got the game. (I looked it up on the internet. Woo go me!) :silly:

There are both desirable and not-so-desirable ways that wishes come true... see wishes thread...

Now that I have a fairly successful garden, I'm letting it go until it needs spraying and making the same sim do all the spraying because I want her to be a plant person. How long does it take? And now she's pregnant, can she still mutate? I hope so. I make her get up in the middle of the night for this. (Then she runs and pukes, go figure.)

    lol Jiko...
you can use boolprop testingcheatsenabled true and shift then click your plants and select the one that goes, "infest with bugs" or something relative to that. But that puts your plant in really poor shape, and it might take awhile to get them healthy again.
