Took me about a (sim) week and a half to get my sim to change. Talk about frustrating. **pulls all her hair out when she remembers her plan to have all four sims in that house change** Aghhhhhh!!!

maybe... i'm not sure, but hopefully maxis has considered this kind of situation...

My question is. Why would anyone want a plant sim? To me they are a pain.
I invited one over and the whole time she kept raiding the fridge.lol
They should have a sim herbicide. lol

I like the plant sims because they only have three needs 'Sunlight, Water & Love'. Very easy to keep happy and you can build up their skills and careers easily as well as fulfilling aspirations etc... And (I believe) you can always change them back to normal sims later. ;)

I wonder if the Plantism children (the ones who are born plantism, with only one parent) can change into a normal sim?

    yeah, but still...

the bad thing is, plantsims cannot EVER get max-ed out motives due to its needs of sunlight.

it takes too long to charge up, and by the time my plantsim is finally happy again, the day is over.

...eh, so my plantsim (when i had it for fun) never got really happy.

...well, they cant do much anyway.
if your normal sim have a gold gardening badge, then your sims will be able to do pretty much of the plantsim's skills.

Though I wouldn't bother. You can build a whole house from the greenhouse.
Or just the roofs. And your plant sim will be happy. lol

Yeah I was just going to mention that too, Odin. If you even just make half the house a 'greenhouse' your plantism sim will be very happy.
I've never had a problem with my plantism sims not being able to max out their needs. They're always very happy and far easier to keep that way than a normal sim.
If you check out the plantism sim that is already in the game when you start playing, her house is half greenhouse. ;)

I have at last attained plantsim status. It did take a long time. I then discovered that she could still get pregnant by her mate, but it was just a normal old ho-hum human baby. So I had her immediately make a spore baby. So while the boring human baby is bawling and pooping for days and days, the plant baby is a happy toddler. All I have to do is give him baths a couple of times a day (or let him splash in the toilet! that helps his water need too :D) and tell him to play with the toy box outside. And somehow or other he is very rapidly building up skill levels and leaving his human sibling in the dust.

The other change is that now several of the family members suddenly have an aspiration to be a plant sim, too.

What happens when a plant sim gets old?
