Install Again I installed Sims 2 on my computer a few years ago, then needed to make space, so I erased it. Now I can not install it. My CD player will not read anything on the cd. It reads dvds. So I know it works. I had problems installing it last time, but it will not read ANY games now.
Sonic Drive Letter Access (DLA) may be to blame. Use My Computer to examine the properties of your DVD drive and, if need be, disable DLA. If that doesn't work you could try installing from hard drive copies of the discs (see the FAQs for how to)
