Vista and the Sims 2 Alright, so I loaded my sims 2 game into my new computer which is Vista. It worked fine everyday for about a week, a few freezings here and there, but my computer was a bit full until just recently. Alright so last night it worked just fine and then I got on it today and it popped up with an error screen. Telling me that something was keeping it from loading and to close the program. So I uninstalled all of my sims sadly, and then re-installed it. But it still shows the same error. I even went to basic and only put the base program on it. My mother was recently on it between the time I played and the time I came back and it didn't work, she defraged the computer, and tried to add a browser. I am so entirly lost because I don't know if it may just be Vista, or something else. PLease someone help me.
OK, have you downloaded anything reasently that might be causing the problem? Have you got any downloads/hacks on your computer? I recomend that you search around a bit, you might find something that will help you. I did a search using the keyword "Vista" and a whole bunch of threads came up. I've posted the link, maybe you'll find something helpful there? Good luck! :classic:
It would be helpful to tell us the full error that you are getting, but it sounds like you are trying to run the game on a limited user account, try running it on an account that is an administrator.
Flame, All Vista Accounts by Default and WILL REMAIN as LIMITED. They are intentionally designed to run that way. Administrator accounts are not needed.
