How do I get elevators to work? I'm wondering how do I use elevators in OFB? I placed an elevator in the house/lot but the sims can't use it, they just stand in front of it. Is there another thing I'm missing to get a working elevator? Please help me.
You need 2 levels and an elevator on each level There has to be space around both. When I put elevator in, I put the first one in downstairs then went upstairs and saw a mark from the downstairs elevator. I put the second one on this mark. Make sure the doors are facing the same way, and nothing blocking them, like walls too close or even plants. I'm not sure but if you have three floors you might have to put shaft in. I could be wrong. Havn't worked out the shaft part yet.
The shaft is if you want to skip floors, like for a penthouse. You need an elevator with a door on every floor you want to be able to access, directly on top of the one beneath it. You can put walls around the elevator and paint them, BTW, so they don't look like cardboard anymore.
