How Do I Game Music & NPC dress-up

Game Music & NPC dress-up

I was wondering if and how you can change the music for the modes ( build mode, ect) and the music the sims play (the sounds on the TV, radio, and the music they play on the piano ect.). Also I was wondering if you could make the NPCs wear usermade clothing, make-up, hair, ect. Pleaseplease help me.

 

I dont know how to change the music for buy and build mode. Sorry!

I dont think that it is possible to change the clothes of NPCs. I have tried to change the clothes of townies but the only option I have is to change their everyday outfit to like gym clothes or something. With all the mods out there, I am sure there is probably some cheat that can help you change NPC clothes.

To add your own MP3s to the game, just open this folder:

My Documents/ EA Games/ The Sims 2/ Music/ ....... and then open the folder you need such as 'build' or 'buy'.

Then you just copy/ paste your chosen MP3s into the folder you selected. You can do this for each folder if you wish. All the radio station folders (such as Techno, Pop, Salsa) will be there too. When you start the game again, the music will be there.

By the way, the Music folder in The Sims 2 folder doesn't appear until after you've played the game for the first time, which I assume you have.

I'm not sure how to change the music played on the piano, or if it's even possible. Maybe someone can help you out with that.

 

If you have Open For Business you can change their hair or makeup by giving them a makeover by one of your playable sims.

 

you can either get the insiminator or use this cheat;
boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true
(only works if you type it in in neighbourhood view)

with the insiminator you click them & an option to make selectable comes up, with the boolprop cheat you have to ctrl click them to make it available.
Then just get the NPC to a mirror & change their make up & hair, I don't remember if it works when you try to change their clothe in your closet, but you can give it a try.
Then you can make them unselectable the same way (make sure you select another sim from your household as playable or the deselect option wont come up).
turn off the cheat by typing;
boolprop testingCheatsEnabled false
