The Sims 2 installation problems Everytime I try and install the Sims 2 its perfect until its time to enter the second disk, then it freezes and nothing happens. I have a dell computer if you wanted to know. People are telling me Dells have trouble with the sims but I have never experienced this with my dell computers. I have the system requirements and everything so no worries there. Please message me back
That's funny; I've never heard of people saying that dells don't do TS2. I have a dell computer and my sims works just fine. Anyway, about your installing problem: Have you checked for any scratches or fingerprints on your CD? If there are any then just clean it and try again. If that's not the problem then try temporarily disabling your virus protection programs. Be sure to exit all your background programs as well before installing TS2. I've had problems with installations on my PC when msn was running, so be sure to close that down! If this didn't work, then post a reply here.
I did everything you mentioned but it still froze when I put in the second disk. I don't know what else to try...it just stops at 23% and waited a while to see if it would budge but still nothing. :[ I really want to play but its being retarded. If you know anything else, ANYTHING, let me know. I'm willing to keep trying.

I did the disk images thing and it worked fine last night and earlier today before I shut it off. Now, I enter the disk and it says that its not the right one! I dont understand
