What do I do with the Daemon files?

Ok so the splash screen came up while I was running the game, and then it disappeared. I know that I have to locate the Daemon files and disable them. I located 4 files that say:
    CIDAEMON
    CIDAEMON.EXE-27AE97A4.pf
    cidaemon
    HandleCollector$Daemon.class

I am uncertain what Daemon files are, and if I should send them to the recycle bin or do something else with them.

We don't support Daemon files here as we only cater for people who play legally purchased hard copies of games. Downloaders are little more than thieves.

Psstt...I think that's why she's asking what to do with them as she stated she knew she had to disable them and was asking us which ones and how to get rid of them. I have no clue as I don't have Daemon files on my computer and wouldn't know the difference between the files so I didn't answer.

Well if she doesn't want them (because she doesn't want to play the game illegally) they should be deleted.

Try add remove programs and see if you can find anything thats cidaemon
also yes send them to recycle bin if you cant find the uninstall.
If you know someone that knows how to use regedit get them to search and delete anything with cideamon.

OK I hold up my hands. I was WRONG WRONG WRONG

I just looked it up and CIDAEMON.EXE is a Windows process.

I feel that Odinmoon's advice is unsound concerning cidaemon.

However "HandleCollector$Daemon.class" does appear to be a component of Daemon Tools (a well known virtual disc mount system for pirated downloads of games) and this would not be a component part of any computer that had not been used for the running of "virtual" copies of software. In most cases such virtual copies are illegal pirate copies ....

I hear no protests from the original poster ....

Use Google to search on the various file names.
