Help Please I just recently got Sims 2 Deluxe, and I was just wondering if other sims can ask you out on a date instead of your sim having to take the initiative. And also can other sims initiate interations like kiss and such? Also I got a baby on accident, if i neglect it will a social worker take it away? And if yes, how many days will it take? -Thanks!
As far as I know, other sims can't ask you out on a date. Other sims can do interactions however and, with NL, you can also influence sims to do stuff for the sim that you're controlling. Now about the baby: yes, if you neglect it, the social worker will come and take it but you won't be able to have any babies in the future because the social worker will come and take them away. You won't be able to adopt children, either. If you want your sims to have other babies in the future, then don't neglect the baby. As for how long it takes for the social worker to turn up, I have no idea. That depends on how quickly the baby's needs start getting in the red. Hope this answered your questions.
Really? How? In all my years of simming, my sims have never been asked on dates. They've had to do the asking themselves. ... And I'm asuming that your sim didn't get asked out just because it was extremely dapper. :silly:
If you get the Night Life expansion, There is the possibility that another Sim will call yours up to ask them on an outing downtown. If your sim says yes, he or she will take a taxi to the selected location, and they will find the original Sim, plus up to 6 other sims, all looking for a good time. It is not so much a date as it is a group activity. Try to get as many people involved in activities, and the outing will be a success, this increasing your odds of getting asked again! As for the social worker, Muffin is right..If you ever want that particular Sim to have children again someday, don't draw the ire of the social worker! A much better option is to put the child up for adoption. I believe that this may be accomplished by calling "Service" and then selectiong "Adoption Agency." I've never done it myself, but I think that is how it's done!
Okay, I'm going to correct what has been said about the social worker/adoption first of all. If the baby/child is taken away you can no longer adopt. That is true. HOWEVER...your sim can have more children and the social worker will not automatically come take the children away. Second, you can not put your sims up for adoption by calling the adoption agency under service. If you call that the adoption agency automatically thinks you're trying to adopt another baby/toddler/child and you'll have another kid to take care of. Several people here have "accidently" adopted kids because they accidently clicked on adoption agency instead of the option they meant. SBW was one of them if I can remember correctly. Only way to get rid of an unwanted child is to loose it to the social worker or to have another adult sim move in and then move out again with the child in tow. And LOL Odinmoon...that was an outing, not a date! That's funny though, a date with 8 people!
Thanks for clearing things up, Shana! All of my adoptions have been through my Orpahanage (where you move an adult sim in, and then move them out again with the child to be adopted), so I was unsure about the official, in-game Adoption Agency. Looks like I'll have to start another Orphanage in my new neighborhood, since my main sim has just ended up with a a surprise, unplanned pregnancy... I was planning on using the Adoption Agency once the child arrived, but it looks like that is not an opption, and I refuse to live the trauma of having the Social Worker take the child away! (I've never gotten over Bob and Betty Newbie's first baby being unceremoniously bundled off by that woman in the original Sims game!)
