I have 2 questions that need to be answered

Hi, i was wondering,
1.how do i use objects ive downloaded,
2.what happens when my sim gets sbducted by aliens.

 

1. You can find them anywhere in your Buy/Build Catalogue - it depends on what kind of object it is. But you have to enable your downloads first. A window sort of thing will pop up in your neighbourhood chooser in the beginning of your game and you can enable your downloads from there. If a window doesn't pop up during your game then you need to click on Options (the three dots at the bottom of your screen) while you're playing and then on Game Graphics (or maybe it's called Game Options, I can't remember - it's called Game something, anyway). There should be something about custom content in there.

NOTE: you have to start the game again for the objects to actually appear. Annoying, I know.

2. You gotta be looking out of the telescope at night (and only knowledge sims can get abducted). If you're lucky, a UFO will come and suck your sim up. The aliens will take your sim away and after a few days they will drop your sim off at its lot. If it's a male sim that got abducted, he will come back pregnant.

 

well if a window does pop-up what will it look like and the only thing i have found from my packages are wallpapers

 

What exp are you using?

Firs start the game then go into a neighborhood. Its game options. you have to click display custom content dialog at start up.
Then restart and a pop up window appears and then click enable custom content.

well i no how to use single objects ( you double click and install ) but i dont no how to use zipped files

Zipped files./ Two ways 1. Put the zipped folder in sims 2 downloads folder.
2. If its a package file click explore with win zip and double click on Package.

*ahem* Now that my dizziness has passed, might I add that you need to extract the zip files before sticking them in your Downloads folder. Make sure that there are package files inside the zip (if it's rar files, they'll need extracting a second time - but this seldom happens if you extracted the zip file first). The files have to be package files to work in the Downloads.
