Installing Problems I got the Sims 2 Deluxe today and it came with 1 dvd-rom cd that contains the sims 2 and sims night life. I turned off the firewall, and turned off all the background programs as instructed, but it still says error at 3%. The CD is brand new and is in perfect condition, and my computer meets all the requirements. I've heard that Dell's have issues and my lap top is a Dell Inspiron 1100 model. I don't think this is the problem though, because I tried downloading it on a different model cpu and it still stopped at 3%. If there is anything I missed please help me out, because not being able to play sucks.
do you hav 2 cd drives? if so then try installing it in the one that you weren't using before. it works for me.
