What is goin' on with my Graphics???...Help pls!

My graphics on my game are SO weird! See, in my sims 2 and sims 2 pets it has been flashing green lines and black and green triangles on the ground. Only when i move it will stop but if i wait a sec it will come back! I can barely use build mode. The whole game is SO slow! I mean i have to wait like 20 mins to move in a family!
    I HAVE:
    Windows Xp
    free space: 39.0 GB
    total size: 74.4 GB

I've been looking every where for anwsers and this may be my last chance! Will someone PLEASE help me fix it!

We're gonna need a bit more info on your comp. specs, I think. Take a look at this thread if you don't know where to find them. :)

Well I can tell you straight off that your computer is right at the bottom end of game runnability. The GeForce2 is pretty low powered and you you should consider replacing it with something a little beefier. I was out shopping today and saw several excellent NVidia and ATI cards priced around 35 to 45 - I would imagine that you could get close to those numbers in US$.

Also with only 256 MB of memory you are woefully short of the "elbow room" that Windows really needs to work in. For example I have 1024 MB of memory but only 600 is currently free (unused) ... and all I have running is Windows XP, my antivirus software and Firefox.

I recommend that you get at least 512MB extra memory as well. Sorry to be a poop.

To be honest, the breaking up of the screen display (pixellation, unfilled triangles etc.) would tend to indicate that the game is causing your graphics card to choke to death (by this I mean the card is overheating trying to cope.) Defnitely time to get a new card. :)
