    Bad thing

There is this that i dont like about The Sims 2. That when a family member moves out, that person doesn't age when your playing with another family. For instance, you have twins, both move out, you play with one alot, and that twin is old, while the other is young. Annoying.

I know. That annoys me too. Just imagine the old twin saying to one of its mates: "Yeah, that's my twin over there. The young one. I know I look a lot older than him but we were born the same day."

As far as I know, there's no way of fixing it sadly. :(

What i do is play all the lots. one per day. Then they all die together and lots of inheritance money. :D

That seems like a lot of work. I just try not to think about it. I remember being really sad when my teenage boy fell in love with a townie. That relationship most obviously did not continue after he became an adult and she had to stay a teenager.

Thats when I would play her lot till she grew up and then re establish their relationships. It's hard work lol. But what game isn't ? :)

I think Elfgirl was talking about her teen falling in love with a townie, Moon, so you wouldn't be able to go to her lot and play on her. Townies are the non-playable characters in TS2 like the people that work at the till in shops when you visit community lots and stuff. :)

Of course you could invite a townie to move in with you and then you'd be able to play on them like normal -- but I don't think you can do that with teenage townies.

Aww, Elfgirl, that's so sad! :( But if you look on the bright side, it's a bit like a sad ending of a romance novel. :D

They really should do something about it though.

    They did.

The University Expansion Pack allows you to move townie teens to college and control them. I moved a bunch of them that way, and sent them all through college. They finished school and moved back to the neighborhood all grown up. Meadow Thayer, for example, is married to one of my sims and is expecting a baby. Of course, she has been expecting a baby for a long time, since I haven't played that household in months.

By the way, they fall out of love when they transition to college students, but it's easy enough to get the relationship going again.

i know its annoying but just imagine if you played one of the twins and the other aged and then you went to play it and there whole life had been random and you would think well thats not how i wanted there life to turn out. Plus it would take ages for the game to process things if its constantly aging the whole neighbourhood

Yes, and I wouldn't like it because I'd miss out on what the other sims were doing ... the secret is to limit the number of sims you play. Of course, once they have kids and their kids have kids and so on it can get out of control ...
