If I move some sims to a new house but not all of them, how will their money get split up?

Also, is it at all possible, perhaps via a feature of some new expansion or some 3d party download, to have sims living on the same lot have separate money "accounts?"

 

when you move sims out the money stays i the original lot and i think the people who move out get 20,000 like all other families starting off i think this is what happens somebody correct me if im wrong

Its like big brother. The last to leave take the lot er the money.

 

is there a way of keeping some money? cos i have a rich brother and sister and i want the sister to buy a mansion, but that might be a little tricky with only 20,000:ermm::eyebrow:

 

Have them buy expensive statues and place them in the sister's inventory. After she moves out, place her in a blank lot, take the statues out of the inventory and sell them. She'll keep the money. Then move her out of the empty lot and into her mansion.

 

Once she's in your bin, you can use this cheat: "familyfunds FamilyName 90000" without quotes, of course. You can make the number anything you'd like, and that family member in the bin will get that much money. MUCH simpler tha moving someone to a blank lot, etc.

 

the Familyfunds cheat came with either Nightlife or Open For Business. The inventory is a definite OFB addition.

 

well I dont have any EPs so that won't work, but where do you access someone's inventory ?(i've searched and searched but can't seem to find it)

 

As Mirelly said, the inventory came with one of the expansion packs.

So is there no way for my sister to get her Mansion on the hill?:(

 

Move out individual members all at once but one, and move them into mansion. They all have 20,000 each. Then move them back to original house and just leave the member you want there.
Or do it the easy way with money cheat. motherlode. will give you 50,000 each time you use it.

 

moving out all but one would only be moving out ONE sim. I have used that money cheat in the past but am trying to keep this neighbourhood cheat-free(apart from 'Aging off/on' - thats in the manual so it doesnt count ) . I think i'll just move in to a big empty lot and buy things day-by-day. It's a good job I have such a high paying occupation!(Mad ScientistD
