Take your babies to school! Hey, the weirdest/scariest thing happened in my sim household last night! I have one teenager (Shem) that is always picking up the baby (Shafer) of the household whether I tell him to or not. Anyways, Shem was looking after the baby in the morning, and so after changing his diaper I told him to put Shafer in the crib, which he did. However, he picked up the baby again right before the school bus came. Before I could stop him, he was hopping onto the school bus with the baby! I was really worried that a social worker would come, or that the baby would not come home with him, but nope! When Shem came home, the baby was still in his arms! (sort of) So mom and dad had a nice day off. Just thought it was weird/funny. I wish I had gotten a pic of him getting onto the schoolbus with his little brother.
Wow, that is so cool, Reb!! In all my years of simming, that's never happened to me. A glitch I suppose - but a good one! :biggrins:
Yay! I love those sorts of glitches My own similar sort of thing happened when I sent a sim to run to the car pool, because I knew she was pregnant and I wanted her to leave before she showed. She got there and guess what? Before she could change for work, she boiked and there was em bubo. "Ooh!" she said and then got into the car and went to work anyway. Fabulous! it saved one of her maternity days for later. As a bonus she also got promoted -- which was why I was keen to get her to work anyway before she started maternity leave.
That happened to me as well, only in my case, she had "popped" the night before so I wasn't planning on her going to work the next day. Imagine my surprise when the carppol came and in she hopped, maternity clothes and everything! I sweated that day out, hoping she'd come back none the worse for wear! She did, and got a promotion to boot! I guess those Simmy bosses feel pretty generous towards those hardworking sims who come to work even when pregnant!
I've had one of my adult sims take the baby to work... And then once the nanny started walking off with it once I fired her but somehow I got it back. I think I made my Sim tip her real quick and then she got the baby back. It was kinda scary...
I had something similar happen too. My Sim family had 3 girls and 1 boy, and my sim had just given birth to twins ( 1 girl, 1 boy ). I invited the grandparents over. The Granddad was swimming in the pool, then got out and went to hold baby. Next thing i knew, he changed clothes while holding the baby, and said bye. As he was leaving the lot carrying the baby, i couldn't stop him. Then, i used the phone to call and invite him back over, he came back without the baby. I then saved, and quit the game, and restarted. The missing baby appeared laying on the sidewalk near the mailbox after restarting.
