I want to share a family and neighbourhood with another Mac Hey! I'm new, but I need some help! I don't even know if it's possible but my family only uses Mac computers and my brother just recently got The Sims 2 for his imac and I've created a neighbourhood with two families and two houses that I spent a lot of time working on. I installed the Sims 2 on my computer, because I've become addicted and I can't always be on my brother's computer. Anyway, I want to send one neighbourhood that I created from my brother's imac to my Macpro but I haven't got the slightest idea about file importing or anything. Is it even possible? If it is, could any people with brilliance break it down for me? Please please please?
Well I'm a little on shaky ground here, but I've done this before, and if I remember correctly, what you need to do is basically go to the computor that has the games neighborhoods you want to save, and copy the contents of the following folder: Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighborhoods Take the copy you made and go to the new computor that has the Sims 2 loaded, and then replace the contents that same folder on the new computor, with the contents you copied from the old computor. I am assuming that the new computor has the same expansion packs and base game as the old one - if not, you may have problems. There is probably an easier way of doing this, but I'm pretty sure that is how I did it on my Powerbook... PS, if that doesn't work, try the sam steps, only this time, copy over the contents for THIS folder: Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 Good luck! Keepin my fingers crossed!
