    Since Bon Voyage....

I installed Bon Voyage but I am no longer to zoom in/out using my mouse wheel anymore.
It is pretty annoying as I'm used to using it to control what I'm doing.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Could anyone give me some advice.

    Thank you

Have you tried quitting and going back in? Also I have noticed that if you go to a sim's personal profile thingy, then it will turn off your key shortcuts (~ for pause, 1 for 1st speed, ect.) and you have to go back in and out of the personal profile for them to work again... odd. :D

Check your mouse settings at start-->controlpanel

    Hello

My mouse is working fine...Its just it will not zoom in or out like it used to and it has only messed up since installing Bon Voyage.
My mouse works at any other time,Just not when it comes to zooming in or out.

I didn't notice that fault like you were explaining.
All I know is when you go into the inventory...The game automatically goes into pause mode....if that is what you mean...If so then I have it too.

So I don't know what is wrong with my mouse.

Anyone else having this strange problem?

Going into the inventory will always pause your game, because of the fact it allows you to place items like the buy mode ;)

Other then that I am not sure why it would do that just because you installed BV... although I definatly see why it is frustrating - I use my mouse toggle all the time! If you were really desperate you could try to un-install BV, see if it works, and then re-install it to make sure it is BV, and if it is than I suppose you might have to choose

    Hi

    I have checked everything:
    Mouse controls,Game controls etc.

I have turned the game off and put it on again.
I don't know what else to do but I'm ok with more suggestions to help me.

If not i've appreciated the time you have given to give advice/suggestions etc.

    oh ok

Yeah it works any other time except for my sims 2 game

    I don't know why.
I was able to scroll down the pages on these forums and any other website etc.

I don't know why its being difficult.

    Thanks

    also.....

I have noticed that I have to double click the icon to start the game up whereas before...I put game in,hear it whir, the sims will then pop up e.g the sims 2 seasons then that goes then it goes black then start.

But now I have to wait for it to whir
    then double click icon

    then click play

    then it starts

Is this a new game start?

Yes it is. The gurus at EA/Maxis or whatever they're calling themselves these days decided to do this to us. No longer can we just put the disk in and have the game start automatically. We have to actually click buttons. :p

Double, LOL. I been meaning to check that desktop shortcut.

Yup it points to program Files\The Sims 2 Bong Voyage\TSBin\Sims2Launcher.exe

I can't try it now, but I bet that if you right click the desktop icon and choose Properties, then in the bar named Target carefully change the target address from ending thusly

    "~path~\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSBin\Sims2Launcher.exe"

    to end this way:

    "~path~\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSBin\Sims2EP6.exe"

note that the ~path~ element will depend on how you installed the game.

A bog-standard Windows XP installation will be:

    "C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSBin\Sims2Launcher.exe" where "C:\Program Files\EA Games" is the ~path~

In essence what you need to do is replace the word launcher with the 'word' EP6

PS [Edit] "Bong Voyage" ... :rotfl: ... is that a trip on the bubble blower? :p
