Troubleshooting Unable to write license data!

    Unable to write license data!

    I've done some searching and even contacted EA Customer Service and nobody seems to have an answer for me. I'm hoping there's someone out there who's run into this problem and may happen to have a solution.

    I currently own Sims 2 and all 6 expansions. I'm able to play all but Bon Voyage due to an "interesting" error message after I try to start the game. The error message is this:

    "Count not write license data! Please contact customer support for futher instruction"

    After which I can only click OK and the same message appears again. I click OK once more and the box vanishes. Anyone have any ideas?

    Do you have .NET Framework v2.0 installed?

    Yes I do. The Customer Service guru's mentioned that I may have "emulated" software on my computer, which I got rid of, yet the problem persists. Alcohol 120% and an image drive to be exact. They are no more. :(

    How about Nero? Antivirus?

    Just AVG Free Edition.
