Me too! I'm having the EXACT same problem and it's really annoying, I just started playing again after a few months, but as soon as I get into neighbourhood the options are there for a second, but then they dissapear, if you watch were it dissapeared from you can still click the button, but yer, thats my problem, oh and the moving cars in the neighbourhood look like there highlighted or something if that makes any difference. Sorry, I don't know if the "post reply" button is there for me to be telling you I have the same problem, or if it's there so I cant solve it, so sorry if I got your hopes up.
Poor Zineve. Posted when I was webless and everyone else just ignored him/her. And they posted their system specs. Honestly! Is everything down to me? I'm just blustering cos I have no idea what might be causing this problem. Zineve's reinstalling tale is interesting, because because of all the EPs. We're not told about the patch status. Leesonjack1 needs to post system specs before advice can be given ... that and information about what happened between the last time the game was playable, and now. (Has it been uninstalled then reinstalled ... I mean, come on, guy. Give us a chance, here.)
This has got to be a recent issue, perhaps because of a recent Windows Vista update? It seemed to have happened to me out of the blue as well, and I'm only noticing users posting about this problem as of this past week, and I don't the SIMs started screwing up until I updated Vista last Saturday.. I could be wrong. But this is definitely a recent issue. And it sucks because all my drivers are updated and I'm still experiencing this same issue. I'm going to try installing a few patches tonight and if that doesn't help I don't have a clue where to go from here and would appreciate a second opinion. 1) CPU (1.8gHz) 2) RAM/Memory - (894 MB RAM.. I know I should have 2gb) 3) Free Hard Disk Space (36.5 GB) 4) Total Hard Disk Space (64.4 GB) 5) Graphic/Video Card (ATI Radeon Xpress 128MB) 6) Graphic/Video Card Driver Version (7.01.01.704) 7) DirectX Version - DirectX10 8) Operating System (Windows Vista) 9) Sims 2 CD or DVD Version (DVD) 10) Any expansion packs? (Nightlife that's included with Sims 2 Deluxe DVD) 11) Any hacks/mods? Any custom objects? (None. Not a one.) 11) Nature of problem (Same as other users above.)
