help! i want to play my game, but i can't!

i have an hp and i downloaded the sims & it did just fine, but when i click on the icon to open the game nothing happens. it doesn't open up. help me pleasssseeee! ​

 

Downloaded? As in illegaly?

 

Yeah and how about some system specs?

 

no no no. i bought the game at a store. lol.
