Cant install windows or doors I'm hoping someone can help!! For some reason my game wont allow any new doors or windows to be installed and the tile function seems to be off, in that I can place objects in any position. I've tried turning moveobjects on or off but still wont work. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Two things need to be done. First, before starting the game: Look inside the folder called Config. You'll find it in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\ Is there a file called userStartup? If there is and you don't know how it got there, delete it. Next fire up the game and: Open the cheat console while on a sim lot. ([Ctrl]+[Shift]+[C]) and type in: boolProp snapObjectstoGrid true See if that fixes the problem.
