Haunted Rabbit Head? I know this is a bit weird & random but i am convinced that there's something strange going on with my 'wobbly rabbit head' toddler toy. I'm probably imagining it but i'm pretty sure that it moves of its own accord. (example) I look at it once and its facing the room and then when i look again it's facing the wall.:eyepopping: This has happened many times aswell. Do you think I'm hallucinating???
hi That has happened to me too. Sometimes it does it because of a toddler playing with it, But then again sometimes when my toddlers do want to play with it, its completely turned around and then they do that action where they are confused because it can't be used. Don't worry,it's not only you. I have the "haunted rabbit head" too
that's a relief Phew! its good to know I'm not the only one! Probably just one of those weird things that makes no sense whatsoever. That's my guess anyway.
The head will turn so the toddler can use it. The toddler whines and waves its arm, the rabbit head turns 1/4 of a turn. This is repeated until the toddler can use it, unless it's in an unreachable space. If your toddlers can't use it, try moving it to another spot.
The wobbly wabbit is one of those items that Self orient to the sim user. Not all sims objects are like this. For example homework can only be got at from one direction and attempts by a sim to do homework will fail if the single access side is blocked; for example by a sibling doing their homework in an adjacent square. Maxis, being composed of numerous different employees, thinks nothing of this because each employee is free to make objects in the way they see fit. So some objects (eg dog bowls and wobbly wabbit) will self orient to the user. Other objects (eg the Seasons coatstand, or homework cannot be used unless there is access to the Maxian defined side. I just wish that on those few and far between occasions when my school homework went <ahem> astray, that I'd hit on the extraordinarily spiffing excuse that I hadn't been able to do the assignement because I couldn't get to the right side of it to start it. Or maybe, please miss, will you excuse me from gym class today because I couldn't get to my sports bag; my silly mother had turned the hall coatstand through 90 degrees and obviously I can get anything off it like that, can I?
Now I wish I had thought of that as a kid. Excuse me Miss I didn't do my homework cause I buried it in the snow and mom could't find it for me.
