    Male Vampire Issue

    Hey,
I recently got Nightlife (After everything else. =S) and, like everyone else, was amazed at the Vampres, first thing I did was get someone bitten. xD

    Anyway, things were going swimmingly until I next restarted the game. Basically, his fangs fell out and were flashing blue (meaning missing object/texture, right?) it seems to only happen to adult male vamps. Here's a quick screenshot of what I mean;

I think most people are aware of this problem. I know that it can be temperorily fixed by changing his appearence via the mirror, but this is is a lot of hasstle and it ony lasts until the next game session. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a reason it's happening and if there is a fix, if not thanks for your time.

Incase this has anything to do with drivers or hardware my DxDiag.txt is attached.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

    Wolfy

I'm having the exact same problem. I think I smell a bug.

Yeah, I have found a lot of people that are having it.

Very little people seem to have any information on it though.

Maybe this is something a patch could fix?

I love your vampire, BTW. Louis hair is great on vampires. ;) :D

If you mean an EA patch, unfortunately not. I have updated the game as much as possible with the official patches.

The only thing I can think of is that installing Open for Business will fix it, as that is the only expansion I don't have. I doubt the accuracy of my idea though.

Yeah, no, won't help. I have all of the EPs except Bon Voyage. This problem popped up after installing Seasons, as far as I can tell.

I thought it might be my drivers. I've got ancient ones: how about you? I can't update mine (long story), but if you've got new ones that would eliminate the drivers as a culprit.

Lol, annoyingly my drivers are as up-to-date as possible. I might try uninstalling Seasons and see if it has any effect.

I just had a massive brain wave that could possibly solve your problem!

I once had something similar happen to Lily in my game, her face went all blue and buggy. So I clicked on a mirror to change her appearence. She still had a face in the mirror, thank goodness, though no make-up and eyebrows :)confused:) but she turned out fine once I clicked it all back on again. And tadaa! Lily Viscotti had a face again.

    It's worth a try. :)

Using change appearence does temporarily fix the problem, however the problem will show it's ugly head next time you restart the game. Also, using this method changes his portrait, so I have to change his appearence multiple times to get his portrait back. It's too much hassle to temporarily fix it this way.

Sorry for the double post, but it's not Seasons.

I uninstalled all sims (Including downloads) and reinstalled up to "Open for Business" and I still have the same problem.
