I'm playing on a laptop and I have Uni, NL, Pets, OFB, Seasons and Bon Voyage.

It works really ok. But I cannot play with the mouse pad, I use a USB mouse for Sims ;).

Hey, chels, you ask a very wide question and give us so little.

What expansion packs do you propose to run?
What country are you in? Not all laptop models are available everywhere.
    What is your budget?

Maxis specifically says that laptops which meet the system requirements should be able to run the game, but no support is given for laptop running. No guarantee can be given that a particular machine will work.

Also, as moonlight notes, you will need a mouse to play and I wouldn't try to run a game on a laptop without a buying a good quality laptop cooling pad ... heat is the enemy of computer performance and The Sims 2 makes computers hum with power.

    Hey Chels,
I have a Fujitsu Siemens, 1 GB RAM DDR2, Win Vista Home Premium, AMD Turion 64x2 1600 Mhz, NVdia GeForce Go 7400 Graphics, 128 Mb video...

I don't remember how much it was at the time I bought it, I believe it was somewhere around 800 EUR (now, of course, it would be cheaper :))

It doesn't heat up very much, not even when I'm playing Sims :D. Anyways, I think Sims2 eats up a lot of your pcs memory, so for it to run ok, you need at least 512 MB (and I would suggest win XP, cause Vista is a big memory consumer, although I haven't had any problems yet).
