Free will or not to free will?, that is the question!

I always buy a birthday cake as soon as the little message thing comes up. Mostly because I'm too tired of having a baby around that my adults want to hold and feed all the time. I just want them to grow up already, you know?

I constantly have random sims come over to visit my sim lots and want to feed the baby. What do they do after they've fed it? Hold it for hours on end till it cries or I tell them to buzz off. :sigh: I mean really, how much free time do they have on their hands exactly? Looks like A LOT!

once i discovered you could turn free will off, i used it right away. I mean, i guess it does make the game kind of mechanical and controlled, but sometimes my Sims get me sooo frustrated  for instance, if you make your sim bake a cake or something that has to cook in the oven for a few seconds. with free will on, they like, walk away to turn on the stereo or something random like that. meanwhile, the cake is smoking. i've had many housefires start this way

This made me go and check what my option was. I discovered I never had played with free will turned off . Yesterday I tried it for a second and found it awful - they just stand there, quiet. :eyepopping: It's no fun.
