questions about inventory, influencing, and college. I just recently downloaded the sims 2 university pack. However, I have been having trouble with a couple things. Number one, how do you get into your inventory? I haven't been able to find it, and it's really bothering me. Number two, how do you influence? The option doesn't pop up when I click a sim, so is there another way? And number three, when I moved my teenage sims into the university they wouldn't go to school. They were in a good mood, but when the prompt should pop up an hour before class and error message pops up instead, and then there is no option to go to class when I click my sims. All my sims in college have this problem, and I have tried to move them out and back in. I even tried force error when I got desperate. Please Help! Should I just uninstall and reload university?:(
Is this a legal copy of Sims 2:University? Inventory should be in the same place as the career and aspiration rewards, it should be the top tab, and you should automatically go straight into it instead of the aspiration rewards (like it did before you got an inventory with the exp). Influence is a difficult thing to get, (I haven't played Uni -my least favourite expansion- in a while..but I think) you need to make friends and you need to build it up so you can get people to do what you want. Try seducing the professors, I find that the easiest way to get all your essays done. Your Sim will barely have to do any work at all. Hehehehe! If you're getting an error message when they have to go to class, I suggest reinstalling. Also make sure you have the latest patch for your game. However, if this is an illegal copy...I suggest you go and buy a legitimate copy like everyone else. Cass.
thanks This is a legal copy, thank-you-very-much. I bought it on the apple store online, since I searched everywhere but couldn't find a mac version anywhere, so I had to wait a week for it online. I wouldn't have gotten an illegal version because it's, I don't know, ILLEGAL? Let me rephrase with influence, my character has a wife and three kids who he is all best friends or more with, and I can't find the option 'influence to' anywhere. I had been playing him before I installed the university pack, and he has many friends outside of the family. If I reinstall it, will any of my characters be effected outside of college? Also, does inventory come with the basic sims? Or does it need a specific expansion? because I have looked around the reward tabs but I can't find it. Ugh, I feel like a total N00b. Thanks for the help.
Ok, nix the influence and college glitch questions. Turned out this mod that I got from Modthesims2.com was affecting it. after deleting it, it is now working fine. Still can't find the inventory though. Help, please?
Do you have Nightlife or any of the newer expansions? University and the Base Game did not have the inventory. The inventory was introduced in Nightlife.
Thank you so much! I only have University and the basic pack, so I guess I don't have it then. *sheepish smile.* Seriously, thank you. It was driving me crazy when everyone was talking about the inventory and I couldn't find it. That means my game is now working perfectly, yay!
No need to get snippy. It was a reasonable question. You've no idea how many people download illegal copies of this game off the net and also how many people come here (and to other forums) looking for help because their illegal copy doesn't work right.
