So you got that city, what do you think happens now? So once you get to the city stage you can then start taking over other cities or destroy them right? I was just curious if the creatures in that city would still live there and you would just have power over them, or if once you use the war type takeover thing, they all leave. I just wanted to know what you guys thought about this. I realy wish they would give us some more info on this. When do you guys think we will get more? I mean nothing big is coming up.
I just looked at GamingSteves site.. and in this week he'll give a podcast especially about spore,, he has interwiewed Will Wright alone,, and Steve has said that the interwiew is very revealing :spin: can't wait!!!!
nop me neither!!! It's so said that the game won't be released until FAR in next year... ( I just became a member on Sporeworld.net  )
From what I understand, you can either kill everyone in the city and repopulate it or knock it down, or use your own culture and economy to win the creatures in the other city to your side. Now in that instance, I believe I read that you don't have direct control over those creatures, and if they become dissatisfied they could break away. I think this was in one of the sites that's on the Snooty Spore front page.
Ohh okay, that sounds like something I read. It would make sense, but someone in an article did say its best to kill them since they may grow and kill you since it is a simulation game or something like that.
damn... in that second,, my wish about making peace with the WHOLE universe fell to the ground LIKE BOOM... but if "I" get eaten by a bigger creature,, is the game then over?? or?? As an amoeba... is it just "game over"+?
Thats what I was thinking as well, maybe if that (get eaten by a bigger creature) happens when there is only one of the creature I guess it would die and go back to the first stage. But if there was more then one, then maybe you could just switch to that one.
yah.. it would be un-natural if the whole race died if ONE got eaten..... I don't think Will Wright would make it that way,, I wouldn't have a change WE wouldn't have a change if NONE of our creatures weren't aloud to dye....
of course he isn't..... He's a genius.. and hopefully he gets his workers with his idea on making all the things he has in his minds possible :laughing2:
You know... in the GDC demo, he DID talk about his fascination with the concept of "monkeys with guns." So just watch for those laser scopes watching you from the trees, okay?
cool, do you think they will be able to hide up in the trees?? Like undercover-monkeys.. When they are far up in the evolution stage they will be able to attack in herds???
That would be cool if they would attack in herds. Something like the pre-city-stage, you know, where they still have those little huts. But if you stay in that stage, chances are the enemy has already advanced and could kick your butt :/ Which leads me to another question: Will the AI develope itself with you, or will it just try to advance as quickly as possible?
mr wright referred to something about the herds :hunting parties, if you remember. i dunno if you mean it like that, or as in a herd instead of a city, but yea whatever. WHY DO I ALWAYS CONFUSE MYSELF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :banghead: :grumpy: :comptoss:
You decide yourself if you want to keep you creatures in the small huts or develop them to the big city. If you've seen the GDC video. You'll see the brains in the evolving stage. The small brain = no herd, just alone The medium brain = herds and huts The BIG brain = cities, UFO's and "communicating with other races" but after the big brain, I don't know what could happen :spin:
*falls over cuz of the weight of the brain* ow, i say, dear friend. *laughs like a rich, snooty, smart guy.*
