More people know about spore than we realize. That is a good thing.

There is a problem with Spore though; It may be too much of a "guy" game. For a game to become bigger then Sims, both male and female, young and old must love it. Just look at Need for Speed, that game sold by the millions but still doesn't even come close to the Sims game.

Also I'm not so sure it will be finished in 2006...

 

This is a great point Snooty, it actually crossed my mind..but i never got the chance to talk about it.

Spore is not appealing for the variety of ages the Sims does, i know 30 and 40 year olds that play the sims, but i doubt my sister will ever get close to Spore.

And agreed with the "guy" game issue... Of course the game would appeal to girls, but not too many, I think. I mean, I can't wait for Spore (and I'm a girl ), but my preppy sister thinks it's just plain nerdy.

 

I'm a girl, too. Cool, SPORE is getting popular! It's usually games like this that bore people :indifferent:

 

I hope its not too good...As soon as this game comes out, i want it, and if its sold out i will...have a tantrum. :grumpy:

 

Pre order it, and you shoudn't have to worry about it being sold out.

Yeah, I'm really, really, REALLY hoping that Spore is released this year. And I think that it would appeal to girls as well as guys- most of the people I know in the Biology field are female, as are many of the Anthropology majors... for whom this game has major appeal.

I feel that "Science is for boys" is rather over-used, and probably getting a little out-worn...

 

Same here, I hope that theres barely any people that want spore to make sure that the loyal fans get it, also, my grandma was a chemesist.
