Spore A year since Spore became anticipated?

A year since Spore became anticipated?

Seeing as were at the GDC 2006 now, its pretty much 1 year from when knowledge of Spore became mainstream. A year from when i first saw that Will Wright presentation and decided that this was one of my most anticipated games. The current GDC has reminded me of it all and i've left this site and forum in my favourites since then even though i havent posted much.

Not a lot has changed since then. We really haven't learnt anything new about spore and the pictures and articles that we've read have all been somewhat simelar.

I personally have tried to stay away from the game a bit as i know its a long way off. I don't want to get too involved because then it makes the waiting harder I haven't found it too hard to keep away as i have a lot of uni work anyways.

Some of you were here when i joined and maybe remember a few things i said, so hi to you. Heres hoping that the next year (or hopefully less) of waiting yields more information!

SPORE comes out in Fall of 2006. That's this year.

Yep, it sucks, all my time online has mostly involved this, made the year go good, I dont think theres anything more to say, they already showed all of the games parts. What else is their to say? AND IM ANGRY AT WILL :angry:

Although Snooty is a smart man, I myself will be going with Gamespot on the Spore release date. They are the ones that got The Sims 2 release right before anyone eles. Gamespot says Spore will be released Q3 2006, but this might change after E3, for now I am going with Gamespot's date.

 

Plus, we dont want to wait no longer, do we my preeity :spin:

 

I go for the date longest away from now.... since I don't wanna get dissapointed :indifferent:

 

Don't want to be too pessimistic, but Spore will NOT come out this year. Spring 2007 is an estimate but really; If it would come out on fall 2007, well that would be early.

 

No way - lucky! :(

 

All evidence (powerpoint about prototyping and wired articles) points at probably a march '07 at the latest release date.
