    blue objects after intalling Nightlife

For a long time I've just had The Sims, Glamour Stuff, and Pets installed. This morning I just installed Nightlife and the installation went fine, but I thought it was weird that it asked me to insert the Pets disk and play from that one. When I started the game, my downloaded objects were that bright blue color. And the loading screen still said The Sims Pets, rather than The Sims Nightlife.

My downloads are still in the download folder, but I did not back up my files. Is there anything I can do to fix the blue objects? And is it normal to play from the previous expansion disk, rather than the newest one?

Thanks in advance for any help!
    xoxo Kristyn

First off, Pets is the "newer" of the expansion packs.

2nd installing an expansion pack causes custom content to be disabled. You have to re-enable it (and then restart the game) to avoid seeing blue objects.

You might also need to download a more recent CEP package ... although I cannot be sure that is needed.

Also visit the official site to make sure you have the latest patches.

Ooook that makes sense why I'm still playing off the Pets disk then. How do I go about re-enabling my custom content?

There is a game option for it in the Options screen. Scroll thru your available options and you will come across it.
