    Seasons Q

Have you tried gardening indoors? Because after ten minutes of testing I have found that the answer is no. No trees take root, no turf can be layed and no soil can be used.

    Millsim out.

    aw.

    i'm currently building a house...

i've placed the soil on the 2nd floor using the moveobjects code, but i'm not finished with the whole house yet.

i still need to try it out...

Like several people, I've built a few houses that are almost completely greenhouse. They have grass floors and sun lamps. The sims like these rooms a lot, not just the plant sims. They play chess, watch television and so on just like usual. You can have orchards in your living room, flower draped arbors by the bed (very romantic, and no curtains!) and when it snows, the view is quite pretty. No problems that I've encountered except that the greenhouses can't be huge due to load bearing issues, but you can have multiple rooms connected. One of my houses has a large greenhouse with a small swimming pool in the center, open to the regular house - no doors - so sims walk from carpet directly onto the grass.

maybe if my current project doesn't work out then i'll build a greenHOUSE.
