Problem loading the game after adding downloads.

alright so i downloaded a tonnn of stuff like 200 something things. and i wasnt sure if i was doing it right and so i tested one of the things out and it worked fine so i downloaded a lot of other things.. but then i went to load the game and at first it didnt load at all but now it gets halfway through loading and just stops. i thought maybe it needed some time to organize the new downloads but i let it sit there all night and nothing changed. its still like this today and i dont know what to do.. helllppp!

There are any number of reasons why a game would not load after adding downloads. Obvious remedy might be to remove those downloads from your game and try to load it again. That said, it doesn't mean that the downloads are 'bad' downloads - it all depends on your computer specification and whether your computer can handle the extra downloads.

What sort of downloads are they? What are your computer specifications?

Some downloads such as particular objects might have high polygon counts - they make your computer work harder to show them in your game. Also, where did you place the downloads? did they come in a Sims 2 Pack file format or in a Package file format?

First thing I would try is to remove the downloads and paste them to another place on your computer (such as a new folder on your desktop) while you check your game to see if it loads without them. You could then try adding some of those 200 downloads back in smaller batches, and check it each time for loading problems.

Also the game checks each download before it completes loading to the neighborhood selection scene. This takes time, and it also takes memory, both real RAM and virtual RAM. You may just be running out of memory.

    Questions.

    1. What have you downloaded? (Look at the Downloads folder, right click and choose properties. OK? How many files in how many folders. How many bytes?)

    2. Where have you been downloading from? One site or many? Which sites (if not too many to mention).

Like it says in the FAQs ....

I NEED HELP FAST!!!! HOW DO I GET IT?

(That's a link ... go there and follow the instructions and I bet I'll be able to see why your game is choking on all those downloads.)
