Having problems installing Sims 2 for pc. Okay, I have the sims 2 and I never got around to playing it... but I just did the other day, I realized it was pre-installed but my computer was cleared of all memory & whatnot and I had to re install it. No problem, right? Wrong. Every time I get just past the opening scenes and stuff... It closes automatically and says Error: Couldn't install because there is not enough Read Process memory or Write process memory. I am not a computer genius, and I am actually very stupid... but anyway! I have NO IDEA what that means. Could someone help? =3
Please post your system specifications as in this post: http://forums.worldsims.net/showpost.php?p=94222&postcount=2

The following is the EXACT words written on the pop-up when I try to install it. It is over 2 windows. Window 1: Exc And Wait Error execting 'D:\Support\The Sims 2_uninst.exe' Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completled. Window 2: Exc And Wait Error executing 'D:\Support\The Sims 2_Code.exe' %1 is not a valid Win32 application. Those are the specifications. I don't know what to do next.
Thanks for the system specs and exact error messages. I'm not that technical but I think your problem is related to your graphics card - it seems kinda low on video memory and it's also not on the list of supported cards (although having said that, there are some cards that still work with Sims 2 and yet they are not on the list). What is the date of the driver for your graphics card, and have you already tried to update it?
Your welcome, and thanks for helping me. Ok. I haven't tried to update my graphics card, and I have no idea how to check it's driver, could you tell me how/where to go to check? Sorry, I'm clueless when it comes to computers :(
After looking into it a little more, I think I figured out the driver. It's Legacy. It should work... It worked before my computer got cleared, and it never was updated then. It just won't work now. But like I said I un-installed it and now it won't even install anymore.
