Sims 2 Still Asks for Pets I have a problem where the game asks me to put in the Sims 2 Pets DVD, even after having uninstalled all the games, deleted the folders in Program Files and in My Documents, and re-formated my hard drive, and installed only the base game and the University, OFB, and NL expansions. I no longer own the Sims 2 Pets, and I want to be able to play the other versions of it, but no matter what I try, it WILL NOT stop asking me for the Sims 2 Pets DVD upon startup of the game.
Sounds like you have a remaining registry entry for Pets. If you are confident with computer files (know how to find, copy and move files around) I can explain how to check and clean your windows registry manually. PM me and I'll message you back to tell you how to find and remove the entry. Be aware that if you screw up you will need to reinstall Windows ... so don't ask unless you really want the info.
