Is there no answer? It's been over two months now, and still the same problem. I quote: "This problem has only started recently, although I have had The Sims 2 installed for over a year and I installed Bon voyage at least a month ago. There are three problems I have noticed. The first obvious one was the roads. When I view a lot from the neighbourhood everything looks fine. When I enter the lot, however, the road in front of the house is no longer there. I can see the rest of the road either side of my lot, but not what should be there. My trash can and letterbox are still there, but no road. The second problem occured when I tried to flatten the terrain. Yup, that worked fine, but the 'raise' and 'lower' terrain tools were no longer there! Only the 'flatten terrain' and 'flatten entire lot' tools were there. The others weren't there at all. They weren't even faded out, they just didn't exist. The third problem I've encountered is that six foundation tools aren't there. I have the normal foundation tools - the two brick ones; straight and diagonal - but the ones on the posts, the ones with the trellis, and the ones that can be built on the other existing foundations, aren't there." Another thing I have noticed is that when I visit previously built lots that had foundations, all of their foundations have changed to a green fence. This problem is nothing to do with my user files, I tried moving the Sims 2 file and letting the game make new ones, and that worked, only I still had the same problems! Is there no answer?

Sounds like a display problem to me. What's your graphics card/adapter called? See: http://forums.worldsims.net/showpost.php?p=94222&postcount=2
I'm sure it isn't a display issue. My graphics card is fairly poor - it won't let me play Simcity Societies, but I'd been playing on the computer for over a year before anything happened.
