Game crashes when saving a lot

I recently deleted all my custom downloads then re-downloaded the ones I wanted. When I try to save my lot the game crashes. I deleted all the objects out of the lot, tried saving again and it still crashes. This only happens with this one lot as I went to another lot and was able to save with no problem. Is there anyway to fix this problem without bulldozing the lot since it took me weeks to build it. Thanks in advance for all the help

In a word, I think you need to bulldoze it.

Try moving out any resident sims.

The package the lot to a file. Then bulldoze the lot.

Exit the game and install the packaged lot so the house is available in the houses bin.

Start the game and find the house and plop it down then (IMPORTANT) load up the house as if you want to build or change its design without any sims in residence.

Check all is well and replace any items which seem weird in some way (eg due to missing custom content).

Then try moving in the family ... hopefully all will be well ... :)

maybe that it is that you've got loads of Neighbouhoods that will maybe crash because my sims 2 allways crashes when i make to many Neighbourhoods i know that not to make to many
