Signs of an adventurous life, muffin. :)

Some years ago I crashed a car at almost 60mph once on a country lane - I went around a bend too fast for the weather and hit standing water and aquaplaned and crashed into a farmer's fence. The farmer wasn't best pleased - he had only had the fence repaired since the last crash there 2 weeks before. It was an accident blackspot. The car was a write-off. I suffered severe whiplash but thankfully nothing more - I was lucky. And learnt a valuable lesson.

Sounds like you're living life to the fullest, moon (except the crash wasn't exactly on the 'must do' list). Waterskiing and riding the bull sound very adventurous, if not scary. I knew about your leg injury but even so, two years in a cast sounds unbearable. All that itching and then there's the showering problems and being dependent on others, it's no fun. Heck, I've only needed showering help for a few weeks after my op and it's so laborious. Actually today was the first day that I've showered unaided in the last 5 weeks. W00t! Go me! All the messing around with waterproof plasters (which don't work ) and changing them with dry ones before you get dried so you don't get blood and mush all over the towel, lol. And then there's my super long hair that really needs to be cut - it's driving me bananas. I reckon I'll get at least 4 inches cut, maybe more. *Gives her hair the ebil eye.*

Lol yea hugz. And itchy stitches. I did lead an adventuress life. I never had fear when I was younger. I always wanted the extreme. And got it lol. I have no regrets. And I would do it all again if I could. As for plaster. I only had baths. So I could do that my self.:p

I agree with the waterproof plasters thing. They suck. I remember the hassle with them after I had my operation a couple of years ago. They had operated on my hip and transferred a bone from it in to my mouth (a bone was missing and that was hindering my braises to do their job properly :grumpy:). I had to eat mashy soup for two weeks. I was craving good old solid food that entire time, it was horrible. :( As for baths... I avoided them, like a cat. :p

Jeez, man, and here I was thinking you were the sensible one just driving along peacfully when BAM! a car came and mangled your leg... Wait, that sounds like the car was some kind of monster that just came and started chewing on your leg... Heheh. I have a way with words, don't I?

Yup those waterproof plasters are a waste of space. :p Not only do I need two for my tummy cuts but then I still have the open sore on my chest/shoulder where they stuck a heart monitor pad on me just before the op and it reacted and caused a burn blister which got infected. So that's been all mushy and icky too and with long hair it's been horrible to keep the hair out of it in the shower without, zomg, plasters that are actually waterproof. Anyway, they are all almost healed over now so another week or two then wheee, faster showers lol. :p

Well I just solved the hair problem today, got it cut. Much better now. :D

Muffin - that sounds awful having to eat soup for 2 weeks. When do your braces come off?
