I do believe that's the driver they have now Jud! How long long have you had this card installed and have you had any problems with game play and/or display problems while playing?
I've had the card for a few months and never had any trouble with it before it runs Call Of Duty 4 and others just fine. we got the Sim's 2 stand alone to work but once we installed the expansions we started getting the same message again. THe card supports direct x 9 so im totally lost on what it could be it runs every other game fine with no problems. Should i try uninstall the card and reinstalling it fresh ?
If you do that then I would suggest you download a program called Driver Cleaner Pro from www.drivercleaner.net How computer savvy are you? If you don't know what you're doing then it is possible to mess up things for your computer. Make sure you read the readme before you use the program. If your computer has ATI or Nvidia based chipsets in it you could possibly uninstall the chipset drivers and that wouldn't be a good thing. If it doesn't then you should be ok to remove the nvidia and ati drivers stored in windows. Basically what it does is it erases out the drivers that windows comes preinstalled with which can become corrupt over time and cause problems. In a nutshell what you would do is delete the video card driver and restart windows. While the computer is booting up press F8 to go into safe mode and run driver cleaner. You'll pick the drivers you want to remove from a list and then clean them out with the program. After you do this restart your computer and reinstall the driver again. You should never install a new driver over an old driver as it can cause problems.
