Game simply won't load - any help much appreciated Hi everyone, I'm new in these forums, but not to Sims 2 issues. I took about a year long break from Sims 2... it used to work perfectly with no glitches. I uninstalled it from the comp completely (I have most expansion packs, which never posed an issue, and don't have Family Fun Stuff after reading about the glitches) I'm on my fourth round uninstalling then reinstalling today and my back is getting stiff and I'm getting frustrated... As soon as Sims gets past the initial video, the game crashes with small window with a red X, and the game crashes. Is this a conflict with patches maybe? I've tried to install each expansion, then the patches, then each expansion with the patch, and no avail. Help would be appreciated. I'm getting mad that it's not as easy as this once was... haha. I just searched the forums pretty extensively for an answer. Also, I have no additional downloads for the game. Just the expansions. Thanks in advance.
Try installing just the base game with no patches and see if that works. If it does install the next EP, test it and repeat.
