Crashes after splash Hi Lately i've been wanting to play the sims again so of course, I re-installed the Sims 2 back on my computer, then University and i've never had any problems before with playing University in the past but I started it up yesterday [ I checked all custom content for errors with clean installer ] and all of a sudden it brings me straight back to the desktop after the splash finishes and it starts loading the actual game. [you know, when it scrolls across the bottom of the screen and says what it's loading] I have no clue why it would do this, I tried ending things in task manager and closing the internet and whatever I was doing just to play, but it still does this. It doesn't give me an error message or anything, just straight back to my desktop. It's never happened before so I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
You haven't mentioned your computer specs. That would be of great help in figuring out what's wrong (even if it was fine before.)
