Help with Expansion crashing please? Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs) Memory: 2046MB RAM Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Hard Disk Free Space: 67.4GB Total Hard Disk Space: 109GB DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) Grapics Card: RADEON 9600 Series (Omega 3.8.360) Main Driver: ati2dvag.dll Version: 6.14.0010 (English) Date: 3/29/2008 Total Memory: 256.0MB Games owned: Sims 2, Uni, NL, Pets, Season, FFS Problem: The Sims 2 works perfectly fine on my computer. However, whenever I install and play an expansion pack, It plays the opening cinemetic then crashes. No error is displayed or anything, just a mighty big fat X and an "OK" button. A note: YES I have updated my graphics driver! AND I have made sure that the Sims is updated
Have you tried searching your problem on support.ea.com? By the way, I saw you had made a similar thread earlier in a different forum. Please don't make lots of threads that are asking basically the same question(s). You may bump the thread you made before if you haven't got an answer in 24 hours though. Thank you. I believe I have fixed it.. and I feel sort of stupid. I think it was because my SOUND driver hadn't been updated in a while..lol
