Installing Expansion Packs from Sims 2 Double Deluxe I have the original Sims 2 and many expansion packs all ready installed. I purchased the Double Deluxe which includes both Night Life and Celebration Stuff. I just wanted to install the expansion packs but the auto installer is asking me to un-install my instance of SIms 2. Which I am guessing means all of the expansion packs as well. Does anyone have a way around this?
Since Double Deluxe includes TS2 base, you'd have to at least uninstall that. However, uninstalling that removes all of them. Save your Sims2 folder on your desktop so that you don't lose all your stuff when you uninstall/reinstall. That way, when you get everything reinstalled, you can just swap out the Sims2 folder for the one the reinstall generated. It's a pain, but the good news is that you don't have to reinstall in a specific order as long as you start with Double Delux (or anything that contains the basegame.)
