swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

Have you checked your picture settings in your game options to see if there is anything that's maybe turned off that's keeping your from seeing these pictures?
If you could post a dxdiag of your system it would help as it could be something video card related.
Maybe your video card doesn't support it or something but it's hard to guess without knowing your specs.
Click the start button and then look right above it for run.
Click that and then type in dxdiag and click ok.
Give it a few seconds to gather it's info and at the bottom of the screen you'll see "save all information" click that and save it somewhere you can easily find it again.
Open it and copy and paste the two parts that look like mine into your reply.

Hmmm your card is not the best but it shouldn't keep you from seeing the pictures.
I would go over to Ea's support page and see if you can find anything in the FAQ's section of it to see if it's occured before and they have a solution.
Other than that and getting the most current driver for it I'm at a loss.
Just make sure that you delete the old driver first and don't install the new driver over the old one.
This is a purchased version of the game isn't it?
I know the pirated or warez copies of the game won't let players use some things in the game like build mode is why I ask.
