need help again Im trying to take pictures by pushing c and getting the sims to take pictures but when i go to order them or look at them on storybook mode, they are black. you cant see anything. how can i take good pictures that i can actually see?
Have you checked your picture settings in your game options to see if there is anything that's maybe turned off that's keeping your from seeing these pictures? If you could post a dxdiag of your system it would help as it could be something video card related. Maybe your video card doesn't support it or something but it's hard to guess without knowing your specs. Click the start button and then look right above it for run. Click that and then type in dxdiag and click ok. Give it a few seconds to gather it's info and at the bottom of the screen you'll see "save all information" click that and save it somewhere you can easily find it again. Open it and copy and paste the two parts that look like mine into your reply. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 6/10/2008, 02:25:33 Machine name: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: NVIDIA System Model: NFORCE 680i SLI BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU X6800 @ 2.93GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 2814MB RAM Page File: 583MB used, 5140MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce 9800 GTX DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0612&SUBSYS_23711682&REV_A2 Display Memory: 512.0 MB Current Mode: 1920 x 1200 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Plug and Play Monitor Monitor Max Res: 1600,1200 Driver Name: nv4_disp.dll Driver Version: 6.14.0011.7516 (English) DDI Version: 9 (or higher)

Hmmm your card is not the best but it shouldn't keep you from seeing the pictures. I would go over to Ea's support page and see if you can find anything in the FAQ's section of it to see if it's occured before and they have a solution. Other than that and getting the most current driver for it I'm at a loss. Just make sure that you delete the old driver first and don't install the new driver over the old one. This is a purchased version of the game isn't it? I know the pirated or warez copies of the game won't let players use some things in the game like build mode is why I ask.
yes this is a purchased game from walmart. i tried again last night to take pictures and it let me but today when i tried, it was all black and i checked on the pictures that i made my sims take and they are all black i will do that. thank you for your help.
