    One neighbourhood not loading

    Hello,

I'm hoping that someone can help me. I was playing Sims Freetime and had to quit in a hurry for non-computer related reasons, I had saved the game approx 5 minutes earlier and nothing had really happened since then so I didn't bother to save again (pressed "quit, no save" or whatever the option is!). Since then I havent been able to get back into that neighbourhood, all of the other ones (which came with the game) are working fine, so its just the one which I created and was playing at the time which has problems.

Basically, the game is loading fine, I can select my neighbourhood, the loading thing happens; all of the lines highlight and then it gets stuck there. Doesn't freeze, just continues thinking for as long as I let it. Pressed Ctrl + Alt + Delete and says "Sims 2 is not responding"

I don't have any downloads, but I have Seasons, Pets, University and Freetime installed + 2 of the "things" packs.

Hopefully there is a solution which doesn't involve me uninstalling the game and loosing my neighbourhood!

    Specs are:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600)
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd
    System Model: P35-DS3P
    BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs)
    Memory: 2046MB RAM
Page File: 638MB Used, 3301MB available
    DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

    Thanking you in advance

Try loading another neighborhood, if that loads is sounds like your other neighborhood is gone. :(

swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

have you tried deleting the groups cache file and the accessories file?
Open up your my documents/ea games/sims2 folder and find these two files and right mouse click them and delete them.
You should do this on a regular basis as they can become corrupted and cause loading problems.
