I dived into the CC exe too see what might be hinding in it and look what I found.

 

So true !

 

Eventually they will end up getting what they deserve on this whole SecuROM issue. I just wish it would be sooner or later, as I would love to see Spore and TS3 not contain it.

 

SecuROM MUST DIE!!!

Its in different parts of the CC exe and there are securom references or functions coded in the dll files.

If you open the config file GL, it has some of the error massages for all the languages. Its funny how they even have one for saying, GL:5533="The game seems to be tampered with. Please reinstall your game."

 

Ya know , the Crap is REALLY going to hit the fan once the expansions come out and we only have a 3 activation limit. Do you see how often people on the original Sims2 site have to reinstall thier games? Oh my God, I can just see the mess we are all in for!
I know they are implying that we have numerous activations so long as it's on the same computer, but I don't trust that. I'll believe it when I actually see it.

It just makes me so angry that Spore and Sims3 will be the guinea pigs.

 

And who keeps the same computer with the same spec forever?

You make a couple of upgrades and it's suddenly a different computer. :banghead:

 

Heck you make a few software changes (depending on what they do ) and your computer is completely different.

 

Unlike BioShock and MassEffect (which have limited installations), Spore and Sims 3 will have expansions, which almost REQUIRE average players at some point to reinstall the whole game. I don't think we're being paranoid in thinking that the boards are going to get swamped with potential reactivation problems. So much can go wrong.
I guess if this is the wave of the future, I better get used to it. But I don't have to like the likely disaster that will occur.

 

Actually Bioshock's drm has been changed to something sensible now.
It happened here within the last month.

 

Really? Maybe there's hope?
