World Will End in 2012?

I've been hearing this a lot lately.

What is your say on the matter?

 

Are you referring to the end of the world as predicted by the old mayan calender?

 

If the Mayan's were able to predict the worlds end...why didn't they predict their demise?

 

they weren't predicting the end of the world so much as the rise of a new world order. oooooooooooh!

Yeah, I have heard all of this too, and also that indeed they had predicted many things accurately, even though I wish I knew more info about it!
As far as the end of the world though, I think I remember that it's not so much they predicted what would happen, but I think the Mayan calendar just ends in 2012, and people assume that must mean the end of the world.
