sims2 nightlife problem [mac] right so i obviously have the sims2 installed cos otherwise i cant install nightlife. now that i have nightlife installed and want to play it it says that it cant find sims2 and need to install it again but it is installed and it works who knows how to fix this? cos ive installed both a hundred times already but still doesnt work :/
This happend to me as well - how i fixed this... When uploading the sims 2 - expansion packs, the manufacturer assumes that you copied files to the installed Hard Drive Disk. The first original one you start out with... The next expansion pack should start on it's own - i.e. University, Nightlife and so-on. Okay, so consider what might of happend... did the first disk save itself in another area OTHER than the HD ? You might need to take all your files - and dump them, start reloading the first DVD disk again, and then see if it gives you the same problem... most likely it won't do that, IF YOU LOAD YOUR FOLDER ICON to the HD. a.) - the expansion packs should load automatically. b.) - pay close attention to your document section for Photos and Videos. Hope this solves things... and yeah, Thanks for reminding me to register my copies that I just purchased last week. later.
ive saved the sims2 on the HD and nightlife as well and yes it does load nightlife automatically (nightlife icon and when i try to start sims2 it says i have to use the nightlife disk) it just says something like 'resource cant be found. please re-install sims2' but its there! and it worked but not anymore :/
( spoiler ) - once you do get Nightlife to upload, the two very tricky NPC's are the Gypsy and the Vampire(ress). The very important feature is the "backpack" where you can store various items such as Colone, a Cell Phone, a love letter, and even a magazine.... but I was so hoping that there would be a way to store JUICE and COOKIES in that thing... in case the Sim goes traveling... I'm gonna see if that works - being that I'm a die hard Dungeons n' Dragons fan... and most people who end up traveling more than staying at home live through their suitcases... and this is the FUN PART about this Expansion Pack... you can constantly change your WANTS whenever you move from one lot to the next. ... all you need now, is just those other expansion packs, because once you get attached to how the College Graduates succeed - you know it's going to get very interesting to find out who will really make it.. or who really loses it.
The creator of this post already said that she figured it out, but a solution wasn't posted in the thread. I am also having this problem, so I was wondering if anyone had a solution that they could post. Thank you.
